Matt Sayers Band New Exhibition features significant exposure on BBC Midlands Today 2024

I am so proud to have had my brand new exhibition 'When Coal was King' featured on BBC Midlands Today. The day was full of interviews both with me and past miners telling their stories in front of a back drop of my work!

Matt Sayer's work heavily featured in Cannock's Mill Street underpass project, the innovative project has significant exposure on BBC news channels.

I am so proud to have had 3 of my paintings selected for this major local project. The Creative Arts Hub based in Cannock Staffordshire had the wonderful idea of reflecting the local communities heritage in a tiled 'art gallery' on the Mill Street under pass heading in to Cannock town centre. This project ensures my work will be there for all to see for the next 30-40 years !

This piece became the second part to 'Just five more minutes'.

I just had to finish the story, as kids we would always push Mum into staying out that little bit longer.
